ROLLING OUT OF BED

I think work on Sundays deserves a more casual and just-rolled-out-of-bed look.  After all, Sunday is the Sabbath day.  I wanted to get some errands done before my shift, but that was a complete fail.  I watched the last episode of Sherlock season 2 and cried my eyes out.  I think everyone should watch that show, PRONO.  It really is an amazing show.  It's on BBC and season 3 won't be aired until 2013, but I am clearly digging the fact that each episode is technically the length of a movie.  But there's only 3-4 episodes a season, so I guess that's the downfall.  But c'mon, each episode is jam-packed with action, adventure, and some majorly witty comments that I wish I had thought of myself.

Keeping this outfit casual was easy with this awesome flowy cardigan.  I call it my Jedi robe.  It's pretty much baggy all around and slips off your shoulder without trying to hard.  I love how long the front parts are because they just make the outfit look effortless.

I am really enjoying the whole scarves-as-turbands trend.  It gives me an excuse to buy more scarves.  I kept my accessories minimal because I wanted the main focus to be on the turband.  But seriously, can you believe that this is actually a full-blown scarf?  Forget about throwing your scarves into your "just-for-winter" clothes bin.  Use them all year round with this easy peasy tutorial!

When my mom saw this shirt, she said to me, "My poor baby, are you that poor that you can't afford shirts without holes in them?"  She was joking of course, and I gave her my best HAR HAR HAR impression. I like vintage looking tees, I am a total sucker for them.  I am also loving the tie-dye detail on it too.

I wasn't in the mood for skinny jeans, but I still wanted to keep my legs covered because my shift ran into the night.  Legs don't look cute with goosebumps.  I threw on some black pull-on flares.  Since I just got off work, I already took off my flip-flops.  Hmm.  I just realized I haven't showed you my shoes in my posts.  I'll make sure my feet are all dressed up next time!  My shoe collection needs a little love too.

I hope you enjoyed the OOTD.  Keep it real homies. -__-

ps. My camera has totally died on me.  I'm saving up to get a new one next one, so my MacBook webcam will have to suffice.

BRANTO or BRONTO?

Is my dino shirt playing games?  It's spelled Brontosaurus if I'm not mistaken.  -__-  I've been in my jammies since 8PM and I'm ready to fill my night with Netflix.  My days have been pretty monotonous with work and school.  Work has been getting BIZZAY with a capital B.  I work in retail and the past couple of days have been filled with "I'm going to Coachella" customers.  No lie, I have been trying to get tickets on KROQ since January.  77 entries and no luck.  Maybe next year.

Other than that, I applied to 10 internships for the summer and have already set up 2 interviews.  Is that my future calling?  I am totally unprepared.  Thank goodness I have a roommate is pretty pro-stat when it comes to interviews.  Now...where to buy interview clothes?!

How have everyone else's days been?  Hopefully more entertaining than mine.  I'm so bored, I'm about ready to dye my hair jet black (that'll happen in a couple of weeks).  I shall update when I have something amazing to report...or not.  Stay tuned for weekly vlogs though!  Those babies are in the works.

RAWR! I'M A DINOSAUR.

OUT OF THIS WORLD

I don't know what it is nowadays, but some out-of-the-ordinary pants have been somewhat destined to be in my closet.  I think it has to do with how the future is fast approaching and I can't really wear something like crazy pants in a workplace.  I feel like I just have a couple of months to explore some pretty sweet trends before I join the work force after I graduate.  I am also not one to stand out from a crowd due to my  affinity for neutral colors.  But I figured these pants would be a silly addition to my wardrobe, and boy do I enjoy them.  Since the pants are so bright (obnoxious even), I decided to pair them with a killer muscle tee covered in our celestial moon.

Keep in mind that these pants are actually meant to be cropped above the ankle.  I am only 5'2", making them the perfect height for my short self.  Although they aren't cropped on me, they hit right where I want my skinny jeans to fall.  I wonder what cropped pants would look like on me...

The thing I like about these bad boys is that it isn't one single color.  The pants are actually striped!  They are a nice yellow and green striped pair that give them that extra little something.  They remind of me of these shoes.

To balance out the loudness of the pants, I also decided to keep the makeup rather subtle.  Using the ever-so-coveted Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay and MAC's lipstick in Kinda Sexy, I kept my face pretty natural.

Since this muscle tee has super wide arm holes, a sleek bandeau could cover up anything that are not meant to be shown.  In this instance, I actually wore a black Wildfox Couture bikini top.  I am not going to lie, I am pretty obsessed with that brand.

Keeping my jewelry rather simplistic, I just wore some dainty initial bracelets and some freakin' awesome upper knuckle rings.

I finished the look with a silver collar choker and some beach waves.  I don't know what it is about beach waves that make any outfit look a million times cooler.  I think it has to do with how effortless it looks (but in all honesty, it takes about half an hour to do).  Tutorial anyone?

Today seems like an out-of-this-world kinda day.  Might as well add some pop of color to the incoming spring days!

Thanks for reading, and live life to the fullest!
